Guide
How to use the prorated salary calculator
Choose the pay basis
Use monthly salary for partial months or weekly pay for partial weeks. The calculator uses the selected period as the full-pay reference.
Set working days
Pick a 5-day, 6-day, 7-day, or custom work week. This controls both full-period workdays and paid workdays.
Enter the paid range
Add the first and last paid dates. Dates outside the chosen month or week are clipped so the result stays inside the pay period.
This tool is useful for new hires, resignations, unpaid leave, mid-cycle payroll changes, contract adjustments, and any situation where salary needs to be converted into a daily wage before calculating partial pay.
